Little Leapers Preschool LLC is a home-based preschool located in beautiful Woodstock, Connecticut. The small class size ( 6 children maximum ) and positive atmosphere help to provide a fun, safe and supportive environment that is responsive to the emotional, developmental and physical needs of all children.

Little Leapers Preschool LLC offers a full, developmentally appropriate play-based preschool curriculum which involves both child-initiated and teacher-supported learning. Opportunities will include free choice, gross and fine motor skill development, social/emotional awareness and problem-solving techniques, phonological awareness, letter and number recognition, circle time, story time, open-ended art, music, dance, writing opportunities, language development, beginning math concepts, sensory exploration, nature and ecology awareness, health education practices, cultural activities, and so much more…

Preschool Program Options
9:00am - 3:00pm
2 Days - Tuesday, Thursday
3 Days - Monday, Wednesday, Friday
5 Days - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
9:00 am Arrival - Students will sign-in on the designated clipboard, and choose one of the selected table activities.
9:15 am Snack Time - A healthy snack will be provided by Little Leapers Preschool LLC.
9:30 am Circle Time - Students will engage in class discussion, a theme-related read-aloud, music and movement, calendar activities, morning exercises and review of classroom rules.
9:50 am Centers - Students will self-select the centers in the classroom they wish to explore.
11:15 am Group Time - Students will participate in basic phonics. letter writing, and assigned sharing.
11:30 am Gross Motor - Students will engage in large motor activities in the playground (weather permitting).
12:15 am Lunch - A healthy lunch is to be brought from home.
12:45 pm Story Time -Topics will include but are not limited to: feelings, kindness, diversity, community helpers, and famous artists. We will also invent our own stories through the use of “story stones” and our imaginations.
1:00 pm Rest Time - Students will be asked to rest quietly on their individual cots. Students will be given quiet activities and books.
2:00 pm Free Play - Students will have the opportunity to choose areas in the classroom they wish to explore or engage in outdoor play.
3:00 pm Dismissal
Little Leapers Preschool LLC is open year round, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Please see school calendar for holiday and school vacation closings.
I am a mother of two boys as well as a Lead Preschool Teacher. I have over twenty years of experience working with children in a variety of facilities including my own licensed Connecticut Early Learning Center. I was also given the opportunity to hold the title of Lead Preschool Teacher in two amazing Massachusetts non-profit programs;

I have over twenty years of experience working with children in a variety of facilities including my own licensed Connecticut Early Learning Center. I was also given the opportunity to hold the title of Lead Preschool Teacher in two amazing Massachusetts non-profit programs; WCAC Head Start and the YMCA Early Childhood Program.
I have earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration as well as 18 credits in Early Childhood Education. I am certified as a Lead Preschool Teacher in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. In addition, I have completed the Connecticut Child Care course through the American Red Cross, which certifies me in both First Aid and CPR. I continue my education and broaden my knowledge in the field of early Childhood Education by attending ongoing trainings, seminars, and workshops.

Circle time allows children to share their thoughts and ideas with their peers. They practice turn taking, respect for others, and the need for rules.
A print-rich environment allows children to see that reading and writing serve real, everyday purposes and carries meaning.
Block play enhances children’s problem-solving techniques, mathematics skills, spatial awareness, as well as self-esteem.
When children are trusted with tools, they develop increased self-confidence, concentration, understanding of the material world, and motor skills.
STEM activities teach critical thinking skills and instills a passion for innovation.
